Frequently Asked Questions
Thai Bodywork Assisted Stretch FAQ
What takes place during a session?
You can choose a 45, 60, 75, 90, or 120 minute session. My Thai infused assisted stretching combines Thai bodywork techniques, active isolated stretching, fascial stretch therapy, obscilative movements, and proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation. So what the heck does that mean? I help my clients achieve a relaxed state and less tension within their bodies through this table-based manual therapy. Some of the session is interactive and some is passive. Think moving meditation - the session nourishes mind, body, and soul. You also have the option to infuse the session with reiki if you’d like! Reiki FAQ
What is Reiki?
Reiki (“universal life force” in Japanese) is a healing technique that has been used for thousands of years. “Rei” can be defined as universal. It is present everywhere, and it is a higher level of consciousness. “Ki” is the same as Chi in Chinese, Prana in Sanskrit, and Ti or Ki in Hawaiian. It is the vital non-physical energy that resides within all living things. Scientists even call it biofield energy. Reiki balances disturbances in the recipient’s body’s bio-energy field, and it is used to facilitate the flow of energy to address physical, mental, and spiritual challenges. It promotes a feeling of relaxation that is similar to a massage.
How does Reiki work?
Reiki balances a “biofield” of energy. Biofield is the intricately layered vibrational energy field that is said to surround and penetrate the physical body. Reiki facilitates flow where energy has stagnated. It promotes harmony and balance. It works directly on the root of the condition instead of just masking or relieving symptoms.

How does Distance Reiki work?
Distance does not interfere with reception or potency. Distance Reiki works according to the Hermetic Law of Similarity, an ancient principle which states that we are all connected. We are all energy matter, and we are all part of a larger whole. This allows me to link up to the energy field of the recipient. No distance is too far, as Reiki can be sent as far away as the other side of the world. It’s the same idea as sending prayers or well wishes to someone you care about that isn’t near you physically. The client just needs to be willing and open to receive Reiki. Reiki is a non-invasive form of healing. We are more than just our physical bodies, as we have an energy body as well. Our energy body, just like our physical body, requires nourishment to maintain a balance in function. Reiki can also include sending healing to trauma and wounds from your past. You can also send reiki to your future - a big change, an interview, a day/event you’re counting down to, etc.
